Product-use boundary

The terms keep the real product shape visible: Lang Study supports practice, print, review, and handoff workflows, but those outputs are practical aids rather than official records.

Allowed learning use

Worksheets, assignment notes, paper-review links, copied handoffs, and study plans can be shared for personal, family, tutoring, or classroom practice.

Progress limits

Local HSK1 progress, returned-paper marks, copied notes, and saved settings are not guaranteed school records or cross-device backups.

Payment boundary

Checkout, subscriptions, refunds, lifetime access, and billing recovery follow the shown plan terms and payment-provider flow when paid features are enabled.

Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Lang Study ("Lang Study", "we", "us", or "our"), including getlangstudy.com and related learning tools for Chinese character practice, stroke order, guided tracing, review, returned-paper follow-up, custom worksheets, assignment handoffs, accounts, support, and paid features if enabled.

By using Lang Study, you agree to these Terms. If you use Lang Study on behalf of a school, company, organization, child, student, or family member, you confirm that you have authority to do so and that you will follow these Terms.

The Learning Product

Lang Study provides educational tools, practice content, printable worksheets, review flows, and related learning workflows. We try to make the content useful and accurate, but Lang Study does not guarantee exam results, language proficiency, school outcomes, uninterrupted progress, or that all content will fit a particular curriculum.

Lang Study is not professional educational, legal, medical, immigration, or financial advice. You are responsible for deciding how to use the materials in your own learning, tutoring, classroom, or family setting.

Browser-local progress, returned-paper marks, copy-ready handoffs, and saved settings are practical learning aids, not official school records or guaranteed backup systems. Keep your own records where a classroom, tutor, parent, or school requires a durable record.

Accounts and Security

Some features may require an account. You are responsible for providing accurate account information, keeping your login credentials secure, and all activity under your account. You must not share access in a way that bypasses paid-plan limits or harms the service.

Please contact us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. We may suspend or restrict accounts that create security risk, violate these Terms, or are used in an abusive way.

Children, Students, and Classrooms

Lang Study may be used by families, tutors, and teachers, but it is not directed to children under 13. Children should use Lang Study with a parent, guardian, teacher, or school administrator where required by local law.

If you use Lang Study with students, you are responsible for obtaining any permissions required by your school, district, family, or applicable law. Do not submit student personal information unless you have authority to do so. Review assignment links, paper-review links, copied notes, and uploaded practice files before sharing them, because they may include names, classroom notes, selected character sets, or other details you choose to enter.

Free and Paid Features

Lang Study may offer free starter content and paid plans, such as expanded HSK character packs, review history, custom lists, unlimited or enhanced worksheet tools, teacher or parent workflows, subscriptions, or lifetime access.

Paid features are available only when checkout and payment processing are enabled. Prices, plan limits, included features, billing intervals, taxes, renewal terms, and cancellation instructions will be shown at checkout or in the billing interface where available. Checkout terms from the payment provider or merchant of record may also apply. Payment methods, plan names, and included features may change as the product evolves, and any change will be reflected in the pricing or billing UI when available.

Subscription plans renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal date. You can cancel through the billing flow where available or by contacting support. Cancellation usually stops future renewals, but it does not automatically refund past charges unless required by law or stated at checkout.

"Lifetime" access, if offered, means access to the purchased product tier for the lifetime of that product offering, subject to these Terms. It does not mean that every future product, language, service, or third-party feature is included, and it does not guarantee that the service will operate forever.

Refunds

Refund eligibility may depend on the plan, purchase date, payment provider, merchant of record, applicable law, and the terms displayed at checkout. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us as soon as possible at support@mail.getlangstudy.com. We may ask for account, payment, or transaction details needed to investigate the request.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

use Lang Study for unlawful, abusive, deceptive, or harmful activity
attempt to disrupt, overload, scan, scrape, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service
bypass authentication, payment, usage limits, rate limits, or security controls
upload, submit, or transmit malware, spam, phishing content, or harmful files
interfere with another user's ability to use Lang Study
use automated tools to extract content or generate worksheets at scale without permission
copy, resell, redistribute, or package paid content or worksheets as a competing product
remove branding from paid materials where the product requires branding to remain

Content, Worksheets, and Permitted Use

Lang Study owns or licenses the product design, source code, learning structure, text, worksheets, examples, and original content we provide. Subject to these Terms and any plan limits, you may use generated worksheets for personal learning, family use, tutoring, and classroom practice.

You may print and distribute worksheets to your own students, children, or tutoring clients as part of ordinary instruction. You may not sell Lang Study worksheets as standalone products, upload them to worksheet marketplaces, repackage them as a competing course or app, or remove required branding from paid materials without written permission. If the worksheet preview or print footer includes the Lang Study domain or brand, that identifier is part of the worksheet attribution and may not be removed or obscured when the product requires it to remain visible.

You may share ordinary assignment handoffs, paper-review links, progress check-ins, study plans, and worksheet return plans with your own learner, family, tutoring, or classroom group. You may not use those links or generated materials to operate a competing worksheet marketplace, bulk content export, or standalone paid course built primarily from Lang Study materials.

If you enter custom characters, word lists, assignments, comments, uploaded files, or other content, you remain responsible for that content and for having the rights and permissions needed to use it.

User Content and Feedback

You keep your rights to content you submit to Lang Study. You give us a limited permission to host, process, display, reproduce, and use that content as needed to provide the product, generate worksheets, provide support, maintain security, and improve Lang Study. This includes processing selected character sets, returned-paper hard marks, assignment notes, uploaded practice files, and copy-ready handoff text where you use features that handle that content.

If you send feedback, ideas, feature requests, or suggestions, we may use them without restriction or compensation, but we will not treat private account data as public feedback.

Third-Party Services

Lang Study may rely on third-party services for hosting, analytics, authentication, email, storage, payments, support, and stroke-order data. These services may have their own terms, policies, outages, limits, and data practices. We are not responsible for third-party services, but we choose them to support Lang Study's operation.

Hanzi Writer and related stroke-order data are used to power character animation and guided tracing. Cloudflare AI services, fal.ai, or similar providers may power AI demos, text generation, image generation, or future experimental learning features. Payment providers such as Creem or Stripe may process checkout, invoices, subscriptions, taxes, and fraud prevention if paid features are enabled.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information. By using Lang Study, you also agree that we may process information as described in the Privacy Policy.

Changes and Availability

Lang Study is an evolving product. We may add, change, pause, or discontinue features, languages, lesson packs, worksheets, pricing, limits, or integrations. We aim to keep the service available, but it is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

Because some learning progress is browser-local, outages, browser resets, device changes, privacy tools, or account deletion may affect different data in different ways. Account features do not automatically guarantee that local HSK1 progress, paper-review marks, or copied handoff notes will sync across devices unless the product explicitly says that a sync, export, or import feature is available.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use after the updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.

We may also release new languages, worksheet formats, review tools, AI experiments, account features, or billing options without updating every older marketing page first. Those additions will still be governed by these Terms and any feature-specific notices.

Termination

You may stop using Lang Study at any time. If account deletion is available, you may delete your account through settings or contact us for help.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access if we believe a user has violated these Terms, created security or legal risk, abused the service, failed to pay amounts owed, or used Lang Study in a way that harms other users, third parties, or the product.

Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lang Study and its content are provided without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that learning materials will always be complete, current, or suitable for your specific needs.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lang Study is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost learning progress, business interruption, or substitute services arising from or related to your use of Lang Study.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to Lang Study will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to Lang Study for the service giving rise to the claim during the three months before the claim arose or USD 50. This limit does not apply where prohibited by law.

Indemnity

If you use Lang Study on behalf of an organization, school, business, tutoring practice, or other entity, that entity agrees to defend and indemnify Lang Study from claims arising from its misuse of the service, violation of these Terms, or content submitted through its account, to the extent permitted by law.

Legal Rights and Disputes

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable consumer, privacy, education, or payment laws. If a checkout page, payment processor, or merchant of record provides additional terms, those terms may govern the payment transaction in addition to these Terms.
